As a family, we enjoy camping and being in the great outdoors surrounded by nature and making the most of our short-lived Wisconsin summers. We saw owning an RV as a great way for our family to vacation together comfortably while exploring our beautiful country. An RV vacation can be a very cost effective way to travel while still providing many luxuries. But like anything in life, good advice and customer care can make a huge difference in the quality of the experience. We want to help guide our renters in finding and planning their RV vacations in the most friendly and positive way possible. This is our vision.

How Shadow Wood RV Rental came to be ...
We were looking at expanding the time spent camping which our family has come to love and doing some traveling throughout the year during the kid's school breaks! While we had dreamed of someday owning an RV, we thought it was years off, but decided to look at selling our camper and purchasing an older model RV for family use. In searching many dealer websites, we gravitated towards bunk-style RVs as the best fit for our family. We stumbled on an “own to rent” link that planted a seed of thought that grew into an idea which later was discussed and decided on as a family to purchase an RV which we would also rent out.
This motorhome was owned first by a firefighter and his wife and two kids. James and Dora Lee had also grown up camping, which grew into a fifth wheel camper, and eventually into this RV. With twins getting more active in summer sports and having only 4,300 miles on this RV, this couple decided that the expectation of low use and the poor economy moved them to get out from under the payments to sell. James took great care of the RV, keeping it covered when not in use and very well maintained.
We appreciate how God has guided this process to allow us the opportunity to have these camping and travel experiences for our family and for the ability to make possible the same for other families.
